How much does online order/local pickup cost my eatery?

There is a one time setup fee and that's it. There are no commissions or subscription fees. Eatery pays standard credit card fees as usual (see Stripe fees). Slurpalicious does not take any additional cut or fees for online pickup orders.

Why do other apps charge 15%-20% for pickup orders while Slurpalicious is free?

Slurpalicious is built by eatery owners. We understand the margins of a restaurant and want to help eateries out. Our goal is to take small commissions only on delivery orders.

What should I do if I want to sign up?

Send an email to contact@slurpalicious.com to make an appointment. Self-setup instructions coming soon.

How much does online order/local pickup cost the customer?

Free. There is no cost to customer.

What happens if the customer needs to communicate with me for whatever reason?

There is a chat feature that allows your customers to send you questions.

What if I have too many orders and can't handle more orders?

You can immediately reject orders, edit wait times, or turn off online ordering completely.

How will I get paid?

We use Stripe as our payment system. During setup, you will be creating a Stripe account. When a customer pays for food, Stripe keeps the card processing fee and the rest is transferred to your Stripe account. From there, Stripe pays out to your bank account everyday. Note that the first payout takes longer (about 10 days)

Does the eatery know if the order that comes in is a free food order or a regular payment order?

Answer: No, the eatery will not know

When the free food order is placed, will the eatery get paid?

Yes, eatery will get paid as usual i.e. the menu price of the dish. The amount will then be deducted from the donation fund

How often can I order free food?

You can order free food at most once a day, twice a week up to 10 meals per person when you really need it. Then there is a 30 day wait period before you can order free food again.

Does Slurpalicious take a percentage of the donation?

No, Slurpalicious does not take any part of the donation. 100% of the donation will go to meals for people in need. The only fee incurred will be the standard credit card processing fees charged by Stripe.

Can I order free food even though I don't need it?

We hope people order free food when they really need it. If you don't really need it, save the fund for someone who does.

If I want to donate some money but I don't want to choose a particular eatery, what should I do?

Please contact us via email: contact@kartbites.com. Or, donate to our Givebutter campaign. We be will happy to accept your donation and distribute to different eateries on your behalf.

I am an eatery who has donation fund, do I need to do something about it?

No. Free food orders come in as regular orders to the eatery. There is no difference.
